Discovery of a lost city in Amazonia
In the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, a TF1 team revealed to the world the mysteries of the lost city of Upano, dubbed the “Ecuadorian Machu Picchu.” This exceptional report, broadcast during TF1’s 8 p.m. news, immersed viewers in the fascinating history of this pre-Columbian city, buried beneath lush vegetation for centuries.
Our role: Fixing Experience supported the TF1 team throughout this adventure, managing logistics, securing local permits, and providing access to hard-to-reach areas. Leveraging our deep knowledge of the terrain and its stakeholders, we facilitated every step of the production—from planning to execution—ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
This project showcases our ability to combine naturalist expertise with operational agility, delivering ambitious documentaries in the most demanding environments.

What they say about our services
A big round of applause for Fixing Expérience!
The mission we undertook in Ecuador for TF1’s television news aimed both to cover the breaking news of the moment and to produce longer magazine-style features. Pierre and Xavier’s professionalism, responsiveness, and adaptability made it possible to rise to the challenge. Deadlines were met, costs were optimized, and filming objectives were achieved. I highly recommend them.
